Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting Reception LSI (Japan)

--- These LSIs are limited to the market in Japan. ---

Description

LAPIS Semiconductor developed the original equalizing algorithm, it achieves superior performance in several multipath fading channels. It realizes stable reception even when in Shinkan-Sen moving at speeds up to 300Km/hr and highways.
ML7137 is OFDM demodulate and error correction LSI which receives 2-branch diversity for full segment broadcast.
ML7147 is single-chip LSI that integrates the RF-CMOS tuner newly developed in addition to the OFDM demodulator.
ML7107 is for the OFDM demodulator for one-segment broadcasting and digital radio (one-segment and three-segments reception).

Feature

• ML7137

OFDM demodulator LSI supporting full-segment and one-segment .

  • Compliant to full-segment and one-segment broadcasting of ISDB-T(ARIB STD-B31) digital terrestrial television broadcasting.
  • Even in the Doppler shift by fast motion or the rapid electric-field fluctuating environment by the trough between buildings, 2 branch substitution diversity algorithm developed originally by LAPIS Semiconductor implements stable reception. Inband noise-removal function is installed, and not only the field reception performance are improved but also the countermeasure to spurious, which poses a problem at the time of set development, becomes easy.

• ML7147

Single-chip LSI that integrates RF tuner and OFDM demodulator

  • Compliant to the one-segment broadcasting (partial reception of ISDB-T) of digital terrestrial broadcasting (ARIB STD-B31).
  • LAPIS Semiconductor developed an original synchronization and equalizing algorithm that realized an superior performance in fast fading environment.

• ML7107

OFDM demodulator LSI supporting one-segment broadcasting and digital radio (one-segment and three-segments reception).

  • Compliant to one-segment broadcasting of ISDB-T(ARIB STD-B31) digital terrestrial television broadcasting and ISDB-TSB(ARIB STD-B29) digital terrestrial voice broadcasting.
  • LAPIS Semiconductor developed an original synchronization and equalizing algorithm that realized an superior performance in fast fading environment.

Application

  • Cellular phones, PHS
  • Car navigation, PND, Car TV, Car tuner
  • Portable media player, Bathroom TV
  • Portable game, PC

Benefits

Applying ML7107, ML7137, and ML7147 realizes digital terrestrial receiver application of that the image is not interrupted even in the high-speed transportation with its small size and low power consumption. Moreover, by using LAPIS Semiconductor's evaluation tool and various driver sample software, it contributes to shortening the development period of customer's product
