This series is the speech synthesis LSI equipped with LAPIS Semiconductor's original P2ROM™. After being assembled, these products wait for an order from customers, and then sound data is written. This process can significantly reduce the sample creation time and mass production TAT. It is suitable for a long time sound playback such as audio instruction

• Speech Synthesis LSI Series with Built-in Small/Medium Capacity Flash ROM/Mask ROM

These products are equipped with 640Kbit-4Mbit ROMs, and each series provides pin-compatible products and offers full compatibility between FlashROM and MaskROM. Therefore, after developing with FlashROM, you can change to MaskROM or just keep FlashROM as your choice for mass production. Customers can select a suitable ROM for their use.

These products are voice sound playback LSI with small size and low power, and functions necessary for voice output, such as oscillator, amplifier and etc., are all integrated into a single chip. It is ideal for the voice message playback simply and easily.

• Speech Synthesis LSI Series for Automotive Systems

ML2257□series and ML22Q553 guarantee operation at +105℃ with the 4ch mixing function and speaker amplifier implemented. Also, the internal temperature of LSI and a voltage drop in the power supply are detected as a fail-safe. More functions necessary for car installation are also included, such as a detection of CPU command send error and over-current shutdown circuit. FlashROM and MaskROM types are available with full compatibility between them.
