ML22Q34x BLOCK DIAGRAM/Application Circuit Example

The ML2234x series, which includes built-in Mask ROM/Flash memory and speaker amplifier, consists of speech synthesis LSIs that can be controlled with event input system. Events input by switches or sensors can directly start speech or sound playback. So an audio function can be easily integrated into existing systems. The LSI additionally allows to control peripheral circuits such as LED drive and relay ON/OFF without using a microcontroller.
The LSI, which includes a high-quality (HQ-ADPCM) decoder, a 16-bit DAC, a low-pass filter, and a monaural speaker amplifier, incorporates the peripheral components necessary for speech and sound output in a single chip. Customer can write speech data in the flash memory by using LAPIS Semiconductor's dedicated tool.
