4-wired resistor type touch panel controller

Description

The ML26700 is standard 4-wired resistor type touch panel controller, that is including SAR 12 bit A/D converter. The LSI has high speed access interface by maximum 1Mbps, and that can measure touch pressure. Further it have standard CPU I/F I2C/SPI. Therefore user system design is made easy.

A display-panel equipment generally has the component-mounting substrate and the touch panel substrate. If touch panel is controlled through the flexible cable using the AD converter built in CPU, the noise and resistance of the flexible cable will remarkably lower the level of conversion preciseness. Mounting touch panel LSI on the touch panel side settles this problem. LAPIS Semiconductor's 4-wired resistor type touch panel controller can obtain and detect correctly the position touched without influenced by the flexible cable.
