The ML610Q400 series is high performance CMOS 8-bit microcontrollers built-in with LAPIS Semiconductor's original RISC 8bit CPU "U8 Core". The CPU core is capable of efficient instruction execution in one-instruction one cycle by 3-stage pipelined architecture parallel processing. The clock generation circuit is applied the dual clock composition and operates in low-speed mode and power-saving mode. This family products are popular for the battery-driven hand-held type applications and in a variegated field.
This series is a flash memory which operates at only 1V based on LAPIS Semiconductor's proprietary low power technology. Fine power management, along with a highly-efficient CPU in the RISC architecture, reduces the power consumption. With built-in LCD driver, 2 A/D converters, on-chip debug function, this product is suitable for small portable devices with LCD display, such as wrist watch, pedometer, heart rate monitor, and thermostat. The rewritable flash memory microcontroller shortens the development/production time; the low power feature delivers a smaller/lighter battery; and a variety of built-in peripheral circuits minimize a device size. This product can be operated under wider operating temperature (-40°C to 85°C) so that is can be used in industrial electronics, such as a data logger for food temperature management.
- Ultra low power, on-chip 1V operative Flash memory & Sleep(Halt) current 0.5μA
Popular for the battery-driven hand-held type applications and a variegated field! - Original RISC CPU: achieved one-instruction one cycle by 3-stage pipelined architecture.
- LCD driver + various peripheral functions
- Provides small-sized cost saving development environment: On-chip debug emulator “μEASE”

These low-power microcontrollers integrate a boost circuit for driving LCDs, eliminating the need for an external LCD power supply. The lineup covers a wide range of dot counts, from 400 to 1,536. In addition, program memory (32KB-128KB), RAM (2KB-7KB), 3 types of serial communication interfaces (I2C, SSIO, UART), a battery voltage detection circuit, 2 A/D converters (24bit RC oscillation, 12bit successive approximation), melody, buzzer, capture, timer, and general-purpose ports are all integrated into a single chip, making them ideal for compact, battery-driven LCD applications.
